Free test day rehearsal

Not sure what to expect on citizenship test day?

Most people walk in not knowing what comes before the questions — the inbox, the camera check, the ID step. Walk through every part here, at your own pace, before it counts.

Desktop required

IRCC explicitly requires the citizenship test to be taken on a computer — not a phone or tablet, even for home tests. Open this link on your laptop to start the simulation.

What to expect

  1. The email

Open your Notice to Appear in a mock inbox.

  2. Check-in

Enter your application ID and sign a digital waiver.

  3. Identity

Take a photo using your camera (we'll ask permission at this step).

  4. The test

5 sample questions under camera supervision.

The real IRCC test has 20 questions, 30 minutes, and requires 15 correct to pass.

  5. Your result

See your score and what to study next.

You'll see an amber "Simulation" banner throughout this experience — it won't be there on the real test.

Camera access is required for the identity step. We never record, store, or transmit anything — the stream stays in your browser tab and clears between steps.
